Town Clerk's Office is one of service to the public with emphasis on providing information in an accurate, timely and courteous manner. The most important functions which consume the majority of time are the recording, indexing and copying of land record documents and maps. Other activities, in descending order by amount of time spent, include: vital statistics; election related matters; dog, hunting and fishing licenses; filing minutes of the various boards, committees and commissions; and, items such as legal matters, military discharges, notarizing of documents, liquor permits, checking petitions and answering various question from residents.
